McGill women's rugby team and alumni roll up their sleeves to save program after cuts
In the fall, McGill University announced it was cutting 25 teams across 15 sports programs due to a lack of budget and resources. The alumni and current student athletes playing for the McGill Martlets, the women's rugby team, have since launched a fundraiser. Their goal is to get the team's varsity status back, which would allow them to compete against other varsity teams.
