Man, 30, arrested after 2 people shot at in northern Sask. forest: RCMP
Police used drone, canine unit to find 2 people who say they were taken into forest, shot at on Jan. 7

A 30-year-old man wanted after police say two people were shot at and had to be rescued in a northern Saskatchewan forest earlier this month has been arrested, RCMP say.
RCMP got a report around 3 a.m. on Jan. 7 about a person in the rural municipality of Buckland, just north of Prince Albert, being chased with a gun, police previously said.
Their investigation determined that after an altercation between two men and a woman in a vehicle, one of the men assaulted the other man and the woman, and then took them to a forested area, police say.
A firearm was pointed at them and was fired, but the victims weren't hit, RCMP say. They fled from the man into the forest and got lost.
RCMP used a drone to find the man in the forest and spoke with him on the phone, directing him out of the woods with the drone's spotlight.
The woman was found in an SUV in a remote area in the RM of Prince Albert, with the help of a canine unit, RCMP previously said. The two victims were taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
On Jan. 14, they issued an arrest warrant for Justin Charles, 30, in connection with the incident.
In an update issued Friday evening, they said he had been located and arrested on Thursday.
He faces 10 charges, including two counts of assault and one count of negligence causing bodily harm.
He also faces several firearms charges, including pointing a firearm, carrying a concealed weapon, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, and discharging a firearm while being reckless.
Charles is scheduled to appear in Prince Albert provincial court on Jan. 26.
