Chantal Kreviazuk releases track for Oscar-shortlisted doc All the Walls Came Down
The short documentary captures the aftermath of the 2025 Los Angeles wildfires

Grammy- and Juno-winning singer Chantal Kreviazuk is commemorating the one-year anniversary of the Los Angeles wildfires with a new track, All the Walls Came Down, the title song from the Oscar-shortlisted documentary.
The short doc, out today, is available to watch via the LA Times.
Kreviazuk also shared an accompanying lyric video for the song, which she co-wrote with the film's composer, Morgan Doctor.
“It’s hard to believe it’s already been a year since this tragedy struck, yet so many people are still living with its impact every day,” Kreviazuk told People Magazine. “Writing and recording this song was incredibly therapeutic for me, and I hope the song and the film can contribute, in some small way, to a community that is still very much in the process of healing.”
The documentary was directed by American filmmaker Ondi Timoner, who lost her home to the fires. She turns the camera on herself and her neighbours to follow how they rebuild their lives and navigate displacement.
“All the Walls Came Down was born not from a desire to tell my own story, but from an overwhelming need to make sense of this historic disaster and to tell my community’s story," Timoner wrote for the LA Times.
"This film is not just about fire; it’s about transformation. We titled it All the Walls Came Down because when our once-siloed lives were forever changed overnight, and none of us could go home again," she added.
"The walls of race, class and culture also came down, and my neighbors [sic] and I found strength and healing in standing together as a community and helping each other."
In December, All the Walls Came Down was shortlisted in the documentary short film category for the 2026 Oscars.
The full nominations list for the 98th Academy Awards will be announced on Thursday, Jan. 22.
