Musician memorializes the Long Walk of the Navajo with a 4 year-long performance project

For his performance project The Long Walk: 1,674 Days, Diné jazz musician Delbert Anderson is playing one note of a song he composed every few weeks, so the performance stretches over four-and-a-half years, which mirrors the length of the Long Walk of The Navajo Nation, when the Diné people were removed from their homelands by the US government and forced to walk more than 700 kilometres to an internment camp in New Mexico.
