On the job: Sudbury high school co-op students talk about their experiences in the working world

Since September, École secondaire du Sacré-Cœur student Maxim Gionet has been working in the CBC Sudbury newsroom as a co-op student.

He did a series for Morning North speaking to other Sudbury area co-op students about their experiences trying out a career this past semester.

Up first was a student who did his placement at his own school. Lasalle Secondary student Bryce Broglio was interested in learning to be an electrician and his mentor was the Rainbow District School Board's electrician Adam Dempsey.

Sometimes a co-op placement is how you find out which career you don't want to go into.

That's what we heard from Isaiah Meilleur, a student at École secondaire catholique Champlain in Chelmsford, who did his placement at Royal LePage North Heritage Realty in Sudbury.

We continue our series on high school co-op students. Today, we meet a Sudbury teen who found out they don't want to go into real estate thanks to a co-op placement.

Alek Presely, a student at École secondaire catholique Horizon in Val Caron, wore coveralls for the past few months, doing his co-op placement at Garson Pipe Contractors.

For the final installment in his series, CBC co-op student Maxim Gionet went to William Day Construction and heard from Peyton Wills, a student at Bishop Alexander Carter Catholic high school in Hanmer, about how he's going to miss the "chaos" of the shop.
