Canada's Reece Howden wins back-to-back World Cup ski cross gold
Cultus Lake, B.C., native scores 20th gold-medal result of his career

Reece Howden won gold at a ski cross event in Innichen, Italy, on Saturday for his second consecutive gold-medal result on the World Cup circuit.
The win was the second in a row for the native of Cultus Lake, B.C. Howden took gold on Tuesday in Arosa, Switzerland to become the men's all-time leader in World Cup wins. Saturday's win brings his career World Cup win total to 20.
"Grateful for the flow state that I seem to find here in Innichen," Howden said. "The speed is there and I felt good today and I was able to focus on my own skiing. You have to be smart on a long course like this.
"If you're tired, know that the other racers are tired as well and conserve energy where you can."
Rounding out the podium were Swiss ski racers Alex Fiva and Tobias Baur, who won silver and bronze, respectively.
Fellow Canadian Jared Schmidt was also in the big final, but did not finish.
The World Cup ski cross stop in Innichen continues on Sunday and CBC Sports will live stream the races beginning at 6 a.m. ET. Click here for the CBC Sports broadcast schedule for more information on when and where to watch.
