Best friends and podcast hosts Julie Muldoon (Jennifer Whalen) and Kris Fine (Meredith MacNeill) are back for Season 2 of Small Achievable Goals where they navigate the chaos of menopause, midlife and modern womanhood.
With over 25 million social media views since the debut season premiered in February 2025, it’s clear that MacNeill and Whalen have tapped into a much-needed conversation: making menopause funny for an audience of women who are totally ready for it.
“Women started to share their own personal stories,” said MacNeill, “and I found that extremely moving, that they felt safe enough and proud enough to be like, "Oh, this is what Chris and Julie went through and this is my experience in a similar circumstance."
“I think it opened the doors for women to be able to talk about things that they hadn’t previously been able to talk about,” adds Whalen.
Between hot flashes, heartbreaks and corporate rebrands, the duo try to stay true to themselves and each other as their own private struggles threaten to push them apart.
What happened at the end of Season 1 of Small Achievable Goals?
In the final episode of Season 1 of Small Achievable Goals, their podcast is nominated for a Poddy Award. The founder of the podcast company, Micheal (Peter Keleghan) and managing director Evan (Alexander Nunez) take their tickets to the award ceremony. But the other employees at Podcast Folks rally behind Kris and Julie by breaking them into the event to accept their own award. The girls announce a new podcast; one that talks about menopause.
What’s new for Season 2 of Small Achievable Goals?
The Podcast Folxs find themselves under the ownership of a powerful new boss, Amanda King (Tamara Podemski) and the company culture of Queen of Kings.
What starts as a dream job quickly becomes a nightmare when Amanda advocates for a brand partnership that goes against everything Julie believes in.
Julie’s marriage to Pete (Jon Dore) begins to crack, while her brain fog and night sweats turn Oliver’s (Evan Mok) class trip into a core memory he’ll be unpacking with a therapist for years to come. She accepts her need for hormone replacement therapy, but learns the hard way that it doesn’t cure her problems in the bedroom.
Meanwhile, Kris grapples with debilitating bleeding and a medical system that fails to acknowledge her needs. Her daughter Saffron grows distant, seeking stability with her father Amir.
She also battles a new menopause symptom: anxiety. Statistics show that 58 per cent of women aged 45-55 experience anxiety symptoms during perimenopause. For Kris, this manifests as a creeping fear of failure at work — because the anxiety makes her feel like she's drowning.
A new and unexpected connection with her handsome property manager is the only place she can really be herself.

Are there any new cast members on Season 2 of Small Achievable Goals?
Tamara Podemski (Reservation Dogs, Coroner) debuts as Amanda King, the confident, savvy new boss everyone at the office wants to impress and quietly fears. She believes she is championing women’s voices, but she also knows how to spin empowerment into profits.
Kirsten Rasmussen (Band Ladies) joins the cast this season as Shayna, a quirky new host at Queen of Kings who thrives in chaos. Billy MacLellan (Nobody) plays Yule, Kris’ property manager and love interest, with Jackie Richardson (Pretty Hard Cases) and Aurora Browne (Baroness von Sketch Show) guest starring this season.
Where is Season 2 of Small Achievable Goals filmed?
Production returns to Hamilton and Toronto, but with a stunning corporate renovation. The new office digs at Queen of Kings are decidedly feminine with neutral, soft colours and a focus on female wellness and self improvement.
And Julie and Kris will test out some new menopause merchandise; weighted vests, cooling capes and collars, red light masks and chin straps. “A woman in perimenopause and menopause will try almost anything for relief,” says Michelle Braham, head of props.
