A 65-year-old man from St. Thomas is being sought on several charges in connection with a reported road rage incident on Tuesday, when police allege he assaulted and threatened a teenager.

St. Thomas police say the incident happened on Tuesday afternoon, when the accused allegedly followed a vehicle to a parking lot on the city's south side, exited his vehicle, and assaulted the other driver, identified as a 16-year-old from St. Thomas.

The incident was caught on surveillance camera, and the man has been charged by way of warrant with one count each of assault, assault causing bodily harm, and uttering threats.

"The CCTV provided to police showed the man leaving the area at a high rate of speed, nearly hitting two individuals," police said, adding a charge of careless driving was also laid.

Police say an arrest warrant has been issued for the 65-year-old, whose identity was not provided.
