A 25-year-old man who was shot by Saskatoon police during a standoff last month is now facing criminal charges.

Cameron Robert Carey-Grosse is charged with attempted murder and uttering threats to cause death.

He was shot on Dec. 19 while police were executing a warrant in the trailer park on Rayner Avenue in the Sutherland neighbourhood.

In a news release on Friday, police said Grosse remains in hospital in stable condition.

The Saskatchewan Serious Incident Response Team is investigating. Its mandate includes looking into cases where someone is seriously injured as a result of a police officer's actions.
