About the host
Robyn Bresnahan is the host of the CBC podcast This is Ottawa. She spent 13 years as the host of Ottawa Morning on CBC Radio One, the top-rated morning show in the nation's capital. Previous to that, she worked as a host and reporter at the BBC World Service in London, England. In 2010, Robyn was nominated for a prestigious Peabody Award for the work she did in the aftermath of the BP oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico. Upon returning to Canada the following year, she won gold at the Sony Radio Academy Awards for "Best Live Coverage" with the BBC team covering the royal wedding of Prince William and Catherine Middleton. Robyn was born and raised in Alberta. She loves hiking, traveling and cooking.
