Sarah Nurse, who was named to the Canadian Olympic team last week for the third straight time, scored two goals in Vancouver's 5-0 victory over Toronto. Nurse suffered an arm injury in the Goldeneyes' season-opening win and missed eight weeks. She has scored three goals in two games, both against her former team, since returning to action last Saturday.

Vanisova made it 2-0 at 13:31 when she scored her first goal of the season on a wraparound. On the following faceoff Nurse ripped a shot over Chuli's glove from the faceoff circle.

Nurse thrilled the crowd of 14,006 at the Pacific Coliseum when she fired a hard shot past Chuli early in the third.

The game was a rematch of the Sceptres' 2-1 overtime win against the Goldeneyes on Saturday in Toronto.

Takeaways

Goldeneyes: Forward Anna Meixner earned an assist in her first game since coming to Vancouver from Ottawa in a trade Sunday along with Mannon McMahon, and Anna Skokhina. It was the Goldeneyes' first home game since a Dec. 20 loss to Montreal. It was Vancouver's final home game before the Olympic break.

Sceptres:  Early in the first period, defender Kali Flanagan had a rush broken up when she ran into a linesman. It was the Spectres' first visit to the Pacific Coliseum, but they played in Vancouver last year losing 4-2 to Montreal at Rogers Arena in the Takeover Tour. The Sceptres will be back in Vancouver March 1 for the Goldeneyes first home game following the Olympic break.
