2 taken to hospital after transport truck crashes into collision scene in Wellesley Township
2 vehicles in earlier collision were on shoulder of road when struck by transport truck

Two people were taken to hospital after a transport truck crashed into two vehicles on the shoulder of Line 86 in Wellesley Township Thursday.
The two vehicles, a brown Ford and a white Buick, had previously been in a minor collision and the drivers had pulled their vehicles to the side of the road.
While on the side of the road, there was a second collision between two transport trucks and one of the transport trucks hit the Ford and Buick.
Photos shared by Waterloo regional police showed the Buick and the cab of the transport truck were destroyed in the crash.
The photos also show the roads were snow-covered at the time. While Waterloo region wasn't under a weather warning on Thursday, drivers were being cautioned about snow blowing off fields causing visibility issues.

A 25-year-old man who was a driver in the initial crash was taken to an out‑of‑town hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
The 58-year-old man who was driving the transport truck was taken to an out‑of‑region hospital with serious injuries.
Line 86 was closed for several hours for the investigation.
Police say the investigation is ongoing.
